Data privacy and security are very important for Warranty Master and we have always believed in a “Privacy First” approach. We just wanted to let you know that we’ve been working to ensure our GDPR compliance by May 25th, 2018.

Data privacy and security are very important for Warranty Master and we have always believed in a “Privacy First” approach. We just wanted to let you know that we’ve been working to ensure our GDPR compliance by May 25th.

GDPR, or the General Data Protection Regulation, is an EU data protection and privacy law that requires compliance by all businesses working with the data of EU citizens by May 25th, 2018, and Warranty Master will be GDPR compliant by this date.

Privacy First

We are making some changes to our policies, product, and operations to ensure our compliance with this new regulation, so we’d like to share the updates you can expect.

Here are the specific updates we are making:

  • Updating our user policies: We will be updating our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for details related to GDPR. We will continue to detail our data collection practices in our Privacy Policy.
  • Building privacy into the product by design: We have further streamlined our data architecture to use only the minimum user data necessary for app activity.
  • Strengthening our team’s security training:We are training our employees on data management, security, and incident response procedures, as well as conducting comprehensive ongoing security risk assessments. Security has always been a top priority for Warranty Master, so these programs build on the robust protocols we have in place today to prevent and respond to data breaches and vulnerabilities.

We are committed to meeting the new GDPR standards and maintaining the privacy of our users. Please check back on our site in one week’s time for the updated policies.

In the meantime…
