Welcome to Apollo, the first of our forthcoming quarterly releases for ScalePad. Read on to see the numerous product updates, new features, and hotfixes that have made their way into our core app this quarter. Here, we’re highlighting these additions to ScalePad and their impact on how you deliver a better IT experience to your clients. This being said, you’re probably wondering...
ScalePad is scalable. Every development and feature added to our app is a step forward in how we modernize asset lifecycle management for MSPs. This first quarterly release shares many traits of NASA’s Apollo program in how it lays the foundation for the future of our platform. Sure, we may not be sending people to the moon (yet), but Apollo is the next step forward. And if we’re being super honest, it sounded a lot better than “2022 Q1 Release”.
Bring on the updates!
Insights monitors hardware and software asset data in real-time while surfacing and exposing risky servers and workstations. While powerful when assessing the client environment in totality, we realize there are opportunities to get a little more granular with the data. Everyone loves automating QBR preparation, that’s why…
We’ve added expanded functionality to Insights, providing our Partners with the ability to define their own Insights. Now, Insights can be tailor-made to suit your MSP’s own SOP and best practices. For example, if your MSP has a policy that no workstations should be over five years old, you can create an Insight that highlights assets over the five-year threshold.
Need more specific information for an upcoming QBR? You can apply multiple policies to drill down and find the information that you want to see. Need to obtain a specific subset of workstations that are over four years old with an unsupported OS AND out of warranty? Creating a Personalized Insight is a great way to do it. The possibilities are (almost) endless. Just don’t get too carried away, eh? (We do employ Canadians. Sorry.)
Keep in mind, your DMI™ Score will not be affected by Personalized Insights. There aren’t any cheat codes to raise your score.
Creating your own Insight is as simple as modifying a template. They will appear in the ‘Your Insights’ pane on the Strategy dashboard. Log in to set one now, and relax - we’ll surface those hidden risks in your clients’ environments in real-time for you.
We’ve updated Insights to show how the client environment is trending on an Insight-specific level. At a glance, you can easily identify 30-day trends across all Insights (even your personalized ones) and identify trouble spots in the environment.
Have you ever wondered how many assets will be in violation of a policy or standard you created? Forecasting Insights provides the answer (forecast) over the next 90 days, helping you to dig deeper into trends, put potential issues on your radar, and proactively plan ahead so clients can budget once it's time to take action.
Good news - we added in the ability to see virtual machines with an unsupported OS. Even better news - you don’t need to configure it. This is great news for MSPs running multiple VMs on a single server. Check it out under Software Modernization Insights.
Quick access to information is a core part of the ScalePad mythos, which is why we’re always trying to save more of your time. One of three key features rolled out in our Strategy Update, Initiatives was quickly adopted by MSPs to streamline their proposal process and now has its own reserved space on the client dashboard. Increased visibility on client communications and oversight over ongoing client-specific Initiatives are now available at a glance on the Clients Dashboard.
We’re constantly expanding the tools that we integrate with to better serve our Partners. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that ScalePad is fully integrated with HaloPSA and HaloITSM!
Before you ask, yes, this includes native two-way sync of warranty expiration and purchase dates back into both Halo products.
Support has been added for the following software applications:
