Backup evidence is a recurring part of client compliance work.
The new Backup Radar integration brings that evidence into ControlMap automatically, helping MSPs keep it current and available from both the MSP and client portals.
What’s new
Backup Radar and ControlMap now work together as one connected compliance workflow.
The integration automatically collects Backup Radar monitoring data and uses it to create a clear Passed or Failed result for each mapped asset. ControlMap then keeps the supporting evidence with the related compliance requirement.
Downloadable PDF evidence reports are generated automatically after successful syncs. The integration syncs weekly by default:
- MSPs receive a fleet-wide report covering their managed clients
- Client portal users receive a report for their individual environment
This integration is available in ControlMap through both the MSP portal and client portal.
No Connect step required
For MSPs already subscribed to Backup Radar, the integration is enabled automatically in the MSP portal. There is no manual configuration process.
When a client is linked to ScalePad through both Backup Radar and ControlMap, the integration also becomes available in that client’s portal. The MSP portal shows which clients are fully connected and where an additional ScalePad link is needed before evidence can flow.
Keep backup evidence current
Scheduled, timestamped data from Backup Radar keeps backup evidence current between audits and reviews.
MSPs can rely on automatically generated evidence that stays aligned with the related compliance requirement, while Backup Radar remains the place to investigate backup activity and job-level performance.
ControlMap uses that data to support the related compliance requirement.
