ScalePad Product Roundup: September Edition

See what’s new across ScalePad: smarter strategic planning in Lifecycle Manager, richer compliance context in ControlMap, more flexible discounting in Quoter, and new ways to bring backup data into Backup Radar.

This month’s releases are focused on one thing: helping MSPs turn more of their data into action.

Lifecycle Manager is making strategic planning more outcome-driven. ControlMap is giving partners more flexibility to connect compliance data to their workflows. Quoter is making pricing easier to manage consistently. And Backup Radar can now bring more backup activity into one place.

Here’s what’s new across the ScalePad product suite.

Lifecycle Manager

Connect Goals to Real Business Outcomes

A roadmap is more useful when every initiative has a clear reason behind it. Goals in Lifecycle Manager now connect to four outcome families—Grow, Save, Protect, and Improve—with 11 canonical outcomes across them.

This gives MSPs a clearer way to connect recommendations back to what clients are actually trying to achieve and keep strategic conversations focused on business impact rather than a list of technology projects.

Understand SaaS Risk and Real-World Usage

Two new SaaS Management enhancements give MSPs more context around the applications clients rely on:

  • Compliance Gaps: See which applications meet—or fall short of—standards including SOC 2, SOC 1, HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO 27001.
  • Top 5 Apps Per User: See which applications individual users rely on most.

Together, these insights help MSPs understand not only where software risk exists, but how important those applications are to the business—making it easier to prioritize recommendations and have better conversations about risk, adoption, and optimization. Learn More.

Create and Manage Custom Initiative Statuses

Every MSP runs its planning process a little differently. Admins can now create up to five custom Initiative statuses in addition to the seven built-in statuses.

Each custom status maps back to a base status, preserving board placement, sorting, open or closed behavior, and reporting rollups. This means your team can make Lifecycle Manager better reflect the way you work without breaking the underlying workflows that keep planning consistent.

ControlMap

Automate More CMMC Assessment Work With Tech Stacks

Tech Stacks can now auto-answer CMMC assessment objectives using your product-to-control mappings, reducing manual work at the sub-objective level.

Auto-answered items are clearly identified, manual edits remain protected, and removing a product reverses the auto-answers it contributed. The capability is available across supported ControlMap regions, including GovCloud.

For MSPs delivering CMMC services across multiple clients, this turns repeated assessment work into a more scalable process: define how your technology stack supports controls once, then reuse that context instead of rebuilding it client by client.

Quoter

Make Line Item Savings Clearer

You can now apply discounts on a per-unit basis to Line Items. Quoter multiplies the per-unit discount by quantity to calculate the total Line Item discount, making it easier for clients to see exactly what they’re saving across multiple units.

Carry Item Discounts Into Templates

Percentage discounts applied to Items can now be carried forward into Templates, so setup is less repetitive when building quotes and pricing is more consistent across your team. Build the pricing logic once, reuse it, and keep quotes moving.

See Linked Opportunities on Published Quotes

Published Quotes can now show the linked opportunity, when one exists, instead of only displaying that connection during Quote creation.

That gives your team more sales context where they need it and makes it easier to connect the quote a client sees with the opportunity your team is managing.

Backup Radar

Bring More Backup Results Into Backup Radar

Not every backup workflow comes from a natively supported vendor. Partners can now send backup results from unsupported vendors, custom tools, and in-house scripts directly into Backup Radar through Public API. Once those results are in Backup Radar, they can flow through the monitoring, alerting, PSA-ticketing, and reporting workflows your team already uses. The result: more backup activity in one place, with fewer disconnected monitoring processes to manage.

Use Audit Pages and Templates Alongside Backup Plans

For Partners who subscribed to Backup Radar before January 1, 2026, Audit Pages and Templates now work alongside Backup Plans rather than instead of them.

If your team has fully moved to Backup Plans, you can regain Audit functionality while continuing to use standardized Templates as part of your normal workflow. Partners who subscribed on or after January 1, 2026 continue to use Backup Plans without the Audit page or Templates.

This gives long-time Backup Radar Partners more flexibility to keep the workflows that work for their team while continuing to take advantage of Backup Plans.

Monitor AWS DataSync Backups Natively

Backup Radar now recognizes AWS DataSync task-execution notifications delivered through EventBridge and SNS and ingests terminal task results as standard backup results.

Instead of those notifications arriving as unrecognized emails, AWS DataSync activity can now be monitored alongside the rest of your backup environment, giving your team a more complete picture of backup success and failure in one place.
