What’s changing with ScalePad ITAD?

ScalePad is discontinuing its in-app ITAD fulfillment. Partners will work directly with an ITAD provider going forward, and we’re recommending industry leader RGX as a strong option.

Why are we retiring ITAD?

We built ITAD in response to a clear problem that we wanted to solve for our partners. We partnered with an ITAD vendor whom we were confident at the time could deliver, and set about trying to solve that problem in our app. Unfortunately, service delivery was inconsistent, marked by long delays.

This service gained popularity throughout 2025, further compounding these challenges.

Additionally, during this time, we shifted our core strategic focus (and investment) to building the first and best true Customer Success platform for MSPs. As you may have seen with the launch of LMX and our aggressive development since then (including our Deliverables 2.0 Launch on Jan 29), we are committed to providing world-class value for MSPs working in LM. Ultimately, we felt that our ITAD solution created problems that took away from our core focus, and we believe that discontinuing this service in its current form is what’s best for our partners and our business.

What happens to my current ITAD pickups or in-progress orders?

If you already have an order in progress, it will continue through completion. You’ll still receive the applicable documentation for that order. New requests should be submitted through your chosen provider (we recommend RGX, which can be accessed at www.recyclegx.com/scalepad).

Do I have to use RGX?

No. You can choose any ITAD provider you prefer. RGX is our recommended provider and is prepared to facilitate a smooth transition for your ITAD Services.

Who is RGX?

RecycleGX or RGX is a neutral platform that connects you to local, certified service providers to manage e-waste and retired IT assets, helping streamline logistics and documentation.

What documentation will I receive?

RGX provides documentation such as compliance certificates and destruction reports, which can be downloaded or accessed through their platform.

Can RGX support pickups across multiple locations?

Yes, RGX has access to hundreds of local, certified service providers across the United States.

Will RGX services be included in my ScalePad subscription?

No. RGX services are handled directly with RGX, and costs vary depending on the disposed assets.

What happens to my historical ScalePad ITAD documentation?

Your historical ScalePad ITAD documentation (including past orders and Certificates of Data Destruction) is still available.

• If your account still shows the “Disposal” tab in the top navigation, you can continue to access your orders list normally and download historical CODs up to January 1, 2027. After that date, the “Disposal” navigation entry will be removed as scheduled.

• If your account does not show the “Disposal” tab, you can still access your historical orders and documentation by going directly to: https://app.scalepad.local/disposal/order/list

In both cases, your historical disposal orders and documents remain accessible, and you can download historical CODs until January 1, 2027.
